
According to the 2009 AMTA Massage Therapy Industry Report, ver 50 percent of massage therapists’ income is earned from jobs in professions other than massage therapy, down from nearly 60 percent in 2007. In 2008, 58 percent of massage therapists had another job besides massage therapy.
Massage therapists mention various forms of bodywork, health care, education and fitness as secondary income.
